Lisa Breier Urban joined the firm in 2014 as a partner in the transactional department. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Urban was the managing partner of Breier Deutschmeister Urban Popper Law Group PLLC. Ms. Urban graduated from Fordham Law School in 1990 and has been practicing in real estate law in New York City since her admission to the bar in 1991. Ms. Urban’s core practice consists of the representation of buyers and sellers of residential real estate in New York City including townhouses, cooperative and condominium purchase and sale transactions. She has also represented numerous owners in commercial and mixed use property purchase and sales and commercial loan closings as well as both landlords and tenants in retail and commercial lease negotiations. She has a particular expertise in the representation of first time home buyers and sellers, in real property dispute resolution, condominium and co-op issues and board matters and the representation of landlords and managing agents in real estate litigation. In addition to her breadth of legal knowledge, Ms. Urban’s ability to translate extremely complex legal jargon into understandable language helps to attract and retain clients, who often refer her to their family, friends and business associates – a true testament to her capabilities and reputation. Ms. Urban has served as a small claims arbitrator and is a member of New York State Bar Association.
